  3.  This Shareware package ($25) contains everything you need to get started
  4.  with soft fonts on a DeskJet EXCEPT the RAM cartridge. The package con-
  5.  tains a number of soft fonts for the DeskJet printer, along with some use-
  6.  ful utility programs and printer drivers for: Word Perfect 5.0/5.1, Word
  7.  5.0 & 5.5, MS Works, & PC Write 3.0X.

  9.  WARNING, YOU CAN NOT USE SOFT FONTS WITH A DESKJET UNLESS YOU HAVE AT LEAST
  10.  ONE 128K RAM CARTRIDGE.  RAM CARTRIDGES DO NOT COME WITH THE DESKJET.  YOU
  11.  MUST BUY THEM AS AN EXTRA COST OPTION! DESKJET PLUS OWNERS SHOULD PURCHASE
  12.  A 256K RAM CARTRIDGE, WHILE DESKJET OWNERS SHOULD GET A 128K RAM CARTRIDGE.

  14.  We think this package of soft fonts and the WP printer driver is a very 
  15.  reasonably priced set.  No support for these fonts, driver, or utilities 
  16.  is offered to non-registered users.  To register fill out the enclosed

  25.  Believe it or not, this disk contains 18 soft fonts for the HP DeskJet,
  26.  printer drivers and instructions for: Word Perfect 5.0 - 5.1, Word 5.0, 
  27.  & PC Write 3.0X, and two soft font utility programs: DOWNLOAD for sending
  28.  soft fonts to your printer, FONTINFO for examining soft fonts, and 
  29.  DISPFONT for printing sample sheets of soft fonts. Most of these files 
  30.  are stored in a compressed format to save room- the soft fonts alone take 
  31.  up 240K when unpacked!

  66.  USING SOFT FONTS

  68.  Before your application program can use soft fonts, it needs information
  69.  about those fonts! Specifically, no application program can use a font 
  70.  unless it knows how to select the font and (for proportionally spaced 
  71.  fonts) the width of each character in the font. THIS IS WHAT THE ENCLOSED 
  72.  PRINTER DRIVERS ARE FOR! If you have an application program that is not 
  73.  covered by a driver in this set, give us a call. We can make drivers for 
  74.  WordStar 5.0 - 6.0, WordStar 2000, Q&A, plus a few other word processors.

  76.  All soft fonts have been specially altered to work with Windows 3.0. Thus 
  77.  you can now use these fonts with PageMaker! Just install the fonts into 
  78.  the Windows environment with the tools supplied with Windows 3.0.
